Sand-horses fly through the dunes
hooves splitting air with golden light.
Nostrils sucking, siphoning streams
and rivers, lakes and fountains.
Manes fly with frost, tails charged with ice.
Peacock rides astride, fantail
splayed ruby, purple gold.
Beak up and open for the
chance to sing to the clouds.
Wind bellows, moon slides
and the stars avert their gaze.
